Tony's Taverna Food Truck
About This Spot
Nestled just at the edge of Three Rivers, Tony’s Taverna Food Truck offers more than a meal—it crafts a moment. As you approach, soft lights strung above and the gentle strains of Greek melodies invite a sense of calm and warmth, making it feel like a small Mediterranean escape far from the everyday. The pace here slows just enough for you to settle into the welcoming outdoor setting, where conversations blend with the natural beauty of the surroundings.
This lively little spot has quickly become a gathering place for those seeking comfort and flavor born from tradition, yet served with the relaxed friendliness of a local haunt. Whether you’re winding down after a day exploring Sequoia National Park or simply stopping by for a bite, the atmosphere encourages you to pause, savor, and connect.
The food reflects this thoughtful, unpretentious vibe. Plates arrive generous and vibrant, carrying the fresh, bright flavors of the Mediterranean. Expect the kind of dishes that feel just right for sharing—a pita wrapped snugly around warmly spiced lamb, crisp fries generously dusted with feta, and dips like creamy hummus paired with soft, warm pita bread. These offerings aren’t just about nourishment; they’re a small invitation to experience the joy of simple, honest cooking served with care.
You may find yourself lingering over a perfectly seasoned gyro or enjoying a side of onion rings that strike a satisfying balance between crispy and tender. The menu’s variety provides something for every moment—a quick lunch before hitting the trails, a casual dinner with friends, or a mini escape from the routine. The attentive, friendly service makes each visit feel personal, as if you’re stopping in on a friend’s gathering rather than a food truck.
While parking can sometimes feel bustling, it’s a testament to the spot’s growing appeal. And with plans to open a brick-and-mortar soon, Tony’s Taverna promises to deepen its roots in this charming mountain town. For now, its outdoor setup remains a spot where locals and visitors alike come together, drawn by that rare blend of good food, genuine warmth, and an atmosphere that invites you to slow down and savor the moment.

Lovely spot with a charming outdoor setup, complete with overhanging lights and soft Greek music that creates the perfect atmosphere. The food was absolutely phenomenal! The gyro was incredibly flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. It was so good I didn’t even consider going anywhere else. Highly recommend!

One of the few options in the area for takeaway. Pleasantly surprised by the portion size and quality of the food. Fries were well seasoned, General Sherman burger didn't disappoint, and the falafel was tasty!

Tony’s Taverna is a new fresh destination restaurant up in the cute little town of Three Rivers at the entrance of the Sequoia National Park! Whether it’s a trip to the Park or an anniversary, lunch with a friend, or dinner just because you love exceptionally good food, try THIS place. Get out of the city for a nice meal and mini vacation even if for the day. You won’t regret it.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon (LSOB) during lunch time. Parking can be a little hard to find and it was pretty busy. The current spot is outdoor, but they're opening a brick & mortar soon. Went with a group of people. Ordered a General Sherman burger, Three Rivers plate and their Chicken Sandwich. The General Sherman burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Gyro perfectly cooked along with the burger meat and burger. It's a big burger, so you may need to share it. Their hummus was excellent. The chicken sandwich was also delicious lunch! Overall, a gem of a spot in Three Rivers. Highly recommend eating here regardless of the wait time. You won't regret it.

Awesome service and excellent food. Loved having Gyros after a long day at Sequoia National Park. We had the General Sherman burger, the feta fries and a gyro sandwich, all were delicious!

We visited Tony’s after our visit to Sequoia. Not much in the area so we were sure what would be good but this place did not disappoint! The outdoor seating area has a great atmosphere, and the food was great! I know not everyone loves Greek food, but they have lots of different options outside of the Gyro. I chose the Ribeye sandwich and fries. The fries are seasoned and really crispy, but soft inside. The perfect fry. And the sandwich was really generous with the meat, perfectly cooked, medium rare, nice dressing, and soft bun. Really glad we stopped here on our way out of the park. Stop here vs one of the actual sit-down restaurants. You won’t be disappointed!

While visiting the Sequoias, we stopped in Three Rivers for a meal here at Tony’s. We were so blown away by this food that ended up eating it for every meal while we were in town. Beautiful, bright , fresh and delicious food. We couldn’t get enough!!

While visiting Sequoia, we fueled up here twice for dinner. I can't say enough about the menu selection. It is large. And the portions are perfect after having spent the day on a trail. For a family of four, expect $70-80. So it isn't cheap, but it shouldn't be. Also, it isn't fast food so be patient. Seemed to me each meal is cooked when ordered. So the fries are crisp and hot! And fries are nice and thick with excellent seasoning. The gyro sandwich, Gen Sherman burger and the chicken strip plate all worthwhile. Good job guys!
